Charndon Parish Council currently consists of five councillors and is supported by a Clerk who is employed on a part time basis by the Council.

The Council has powers laid out in the Local Government Act 1972 and other legislation. Parish Councils have overall responsibility for the well-being of a local community. There are many services which they may provide.

We work together with Buckinghamshire Unitary Council and are members of the Buckinghamshire & Milton Keynes Association of Local Councils (BMALC).

Charndon Parish Council generally meets on the first Tuesday for ‘Full Council’ every other month.  Parish Council meetings are at 19:00.

Residents are most welcome to attend the meetings and should email the Clerk directly at clerk@charndon-pc.gov.uk prior to the meeting to establish numbers.  Councillors form a corporate body and must work together representing the interests of local people.  There is a session at the start of the meeting where the public may ask questions, if these questions cannot be addressed within the Published Agenda for the evening, they will be included on the agenda of the following meeting.  The public are also advised that they may wish to submit questions prior to the meeting, and these questions should be sent to the Clerk at least 24 hours before the meeting.

Agendas are posted on the Parish Noticeboards, Charndon Voice Facebook page as well as on this website.  Minutes are posted on this website.
